The Continental Throne: 2026 European Championship (Saint-Raphaël)
On October 3, over the rugged massif of the Estérel and along the shores of Dramont Beach, the 2026 European Spartan delivered an unforgiving 21-kilometer, 30-obstacle test.
The Netherlands’ Stijn Lagrand broke through to claim his defining continental victory in 1:34:33, dethroning French titan Grégory Basilico by over two minutes. In the women’s field, cross-country skiing Olympian and multi-time champion Zuzana Kocumová proved once again that form is temporary while class is permanent, storming the technical climbs in 2:04:00 to reclaim the European crown over France’s Leslie Lejeune and Italy’s Claudia Bongiovanni.
