Classic trail running, no obstacles, many distances - from 10K, Half Marathon to 50K. Our trail races are held in some of the most picturesque, natural environments. Spartan also hosts the Spartan Trail World Championship, a multi-stop tour for all ability levels, and features some of trail running’s most iconic events and athletes. All Trail courses are separate from the obstacle race courses and have no obstacles, but share the same start and finish area in the festival.

Big Bear is the most legendary mountain resort in Southern California, and has long been a favorite training ground for some of the country’s top runners.

You’ll be following in their footsteps as you explore the picturesque trails of this venue, featuring buttery singletrack winding through high altitude pine forest, plus some gnarly, technical climbs and descents.

You’ll experience wide views of the Southern Sierra, wildlife, wildflowers, and did we mention the altitude?

This weekend also features Spartan Obstacle Course Races.
